CHICAGO -  Three men face terrorism-related and explosives charges in connection with a plot that allegedly included an attack on President Obama's campaign headquarters, police stations and squad cars, prosecutors said Saturday.

Officials said a raid of the South Side apartment in which the men were staying uncovered petroleum bombs known as Molotov cocktails, bows and arrows, throwing stars and gas masks.

Thousands of people, including protesters, have been in Chicago for days ahead of the two-day NATO Summit that starts Sunday.

"These individuals are domestic terrorists who came to Chicago with an anarchist agenda to harm police officers, intimidate citizens and to attack their politically motivated targets," said Anita Alvarez, a prosecutor with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

White House under fire for adding Obama policy plugs to past presid…

The Obama White House is drawing ridicule for appending the official online biographies of nearly every president over the last century in order to link President Obama's accomplishments to the former commanders in chief.

The Obama team went into the pages of U.S. presidents dating back to Calvin Coolidge to add friendly looking "Did you know?" fact boxes to the end of their bios. Those additions were used to plug a host of Obama administration initiatives, ranging from the health care overhaul to the so-called "Buffett Rule" to his green-energy policies.

For instance, the following line was added to the official bio of the late President Ronald Reagan: "In a June 28, 1985, speech, Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multimillionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule."

FBI opens investigation into JPMorgan trade loss

The company had made a surprise announce that it has suffered trading losses of $2 billion since the start of April.

The loss, while massive on the face of it, is expected to be easily absorbed by JPMorgan, which is the nation's largest bank by assets. Even this quarter, the bank is expected to turn a multi-billion dollar profit.

The group that suffered the losses is part of the bank's so-called corporate unit, and had been making trades designed to hedge against risk, which is a fancy way of saying it operates as a kind of insurance agency, CNNMoney.com reported. When a big bet is made, the office tries to find ways to mitigate the risk to the bank should the bet go south.

Over the past few months, the unit has staked out a very large position in insurance-like bets called credit default swaps, the same type of instrument that caused so much havoc in 2008.

CEO Jamie Dimon, who on Monday a $23 million compensation package approved, told analysts and reporters the losses were caused by "errors," "sloppiness" and "bad judgment."

In the wake of the financial crisis, critics have made the case that the biggest banks are still so large, so complex, and their desire for profits so great that they remain a systemic risk to the global financial system.

Dimon, in full damage control mode, was forced to hold a hastily-arranged conference call to announce the loss, and followed that with an appearance on Meet the Press, where he admitted the company had made a mistake.

"This is a terrible mistake," Dimon said. "In this job, you hope they're small and few and far between. This one is far too big."

O'Keefe Strikes Again--in North Carolina

James O'Keefe's Project Veritas exposed how easy it was for someone to walk in to a polling place and get Attorney General Eric Holder's ballot, and now it has released another video that shows how easily non-citizens–and even dead people–can vote in North Carolina, a crucial 2012 swing state.
 
In the video, William Romero, an apparent non-citizen, is shown to be registered to vote in North Carolina. According to jury refusal records obtained by Project Veritas, Romero was recused for being a non-citizen. Yet when a researcher from Project Veritas went into the polling station, he found that not only was Romero still on the voting rolls but  the poll workers were also more than willing to give him Romero's ballot.
 
The video finds that another alleged non-citizen in Durham County, North Carolina, was on the voter rolls–and apparently voted in 2008 and 2010–even though he had been categorized as "code 7" in jury recusal forms, which means he had been excused as a non-citizen.
